There are many ways to repair broken drains, but the first important step is to identify the cause of the problem.
Our engineers are equipped to deal with all manner of scenarios and work quickly to identify the drain repair necessary.
An in-depth survey of the drain may be required, allowing us to pinpoint the problem exactly. Our team conduct thorough examinations utilising the latest in CCTV Drain Surveys.
After identifying the issue, we then proceed in repairing the broken drains.
New Installations & Drain Repairs
We carry out excavations to install or repair drainage and manholes. This service is often required when a drain collapses, or there is extensive leaking.
Over the lifetime of a drain, many will encounter cracks and become damaged, some unfortunately even collapsing. In such events, Express Clear Solutions engineers respond by either repairing or completely replacing collapsed drains.
During our years in the industry, we have encountered numerous collapsed drains, all of which have been tackled with the professionalism and efficiency you would expect of a leading drain repairs company.
Lining broken drains is sometimes an option. A soft lining, rather like an inner tube, is inserted into the pipework. A chemical process is then initiated which results in the liner becoming extremely hard. Roots and leaks are often remedied through the use of lining.
Sometimes, the only way to access a section of the drain is to excavate. This is usually not as alarming as it sounds – have a look at our Drainage Repair Process below to see an excavation in progress on a recent job we repaired.
Am I Insured?
Some drainage problems will be covered by your property buildings insurance. We have a specialist insurance agent who can deal with this type of claim entirely on your behalf. You don’t even have to telephone your insurance company – we’ll do that for you.
Drain Repair Process: This is an example of what we do whilst out on a Repair call
Step 1 - Find the Leak
A drainage leak underground has allowed water to seep into the ground. The damp has risen which has allowed fungus to grow on the brickwork. If left unrepaired, this will eventually damage the structure of the building.
Step 2 - The Cause of the Leak
An exploratory excavation finds the cause of the problem. As you can see, water has been leaking into the soil from the cracked drainage pipe.
Step 3 - Looking at the Pipes
The excavation team remove the surface to expose the damaged pipe work.
Step 4 - Pipe Problems
The old clay pipe work has been cracked for some time and has been leaking waste water into the earth.
Step 5 - Repair & Replace
The old damaged pipe work is removed and replaced with new.
